Kantina Edoni has been producing exceptional Merlot and Riesling wines since its establishment in 1998 and has earned a longstanding reputation. The winery is family-owned, and its roots can be traced back to 1992 when the Oboni family purchased the property to cultivate grapes. Their passion for winemaking has been passed down for two generations.
The winery’s primary goal is to create and deliver premium wines that are balanced and refined. E.O., the winemaker, and his children carry on the family tradition by crafting exceptional wines. With the Harvest 2022, they will offer a selection of four wines, including Pulez, Shesh I Bardhe, Shesh I Zi, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Kantina Edoni’s architecture is influenced by 19th-century Russian design and features wooden Albanian elements and decor. It is situated in a small village near Berat. Cultivating various grape varieties, such as Pulez, Shesh I Bardhe, Shesh I Zi, Aligote, Cabernet Sauvignon, Trebbiano, and Vranac. The region’s climate is characterized by hot, dry summers, and cold, wet winters, which are optimal for growing high-quality grapes. The well-drained soils and microclimate in the area contribute to exceptional quality terroir, carefully selected by collaborating with farmers to choose only the finest grapes.
